There were plenty of tee times last week for the Greene County Girls Golf team and Mother Nature was kind enough to let the Rams participate in each meet.
First up on the tee sheet, the Ram girls played a meet at The Hill against Webster City where they started the week with a win shooting a 209 where the Lynx shot a score of 216.
“Another win for our girls. We shot a new season low of 209 and have won six in a row. The girls are improving each night out,” said head coach Heath Telleen.
Scores included: Taylor Johnston and Maya Telleen,49, tied for first; Hallie Monthei, 53, tied for third; Maggie Mikkelsen, 58, eighth; Alivia Cornell, 69, 10th.
Next up the Ram girls had a tee time back at The Hill against Glidden-Ralston. Once again the Ram girls emerged victorious shooting a team score of 205, beating Glidden-Ralston who shot a team score of 239. Telleen mentioned this was the best score of the year for the girls.
Results were: Maya Telleen, 46, first place; Taylor Johnston, 51, third; Hallie Monthei, 52, fourth; Maggie Mikkelsen, 56, fifth; Alivia Cornell, 59, sixth; Graci Cooklin, 71, 10th.
Lastly, the Ram girls finished their week at the River Bend Golf Course where they placed third with a team score of 226. Gilbert came in first with a score of 160, Roland-Story second with 167 and North Polk fourth with a 304.
Scores were: Taylor Johnston, 52, 12th; Maya Telleen, 55, 14th; Hallie Monthei, 58, 15th; Maggie Mikkelsen, 63, 16th; Alivia Cornell, 70, 17th.
